The 2025 Hart’s Location Annual Town and School Reports are now available online. The Print Version of the Annual Reports will be available at Town Hall after March 3rd.

Annual School & Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Hart’s Location Town Hall. The School Meeting will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Town Meeting at 5 p.m. Polls for Ballot Voting (for Town Warrant Articles 1 & 5-13 and the School Warrant Articles 1-3) will be open on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Notchland Inn at 2 Morey Road, Hart’s Location, and will not close before 4:00 p.m. Voting between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. will take place at the Hart’s Location Town Hall.
The School Budget Hearing took place on Tuesday, February 10th at 4 p.m. at Hart’s Location Town Hall, and was followed immediately afterward by The Town Budge Hearing. The Budgets are on the School and Town Warrants for approval by the voters at the Annual School and Town Meeting on March 10th.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment held a public hearing on Monday February 2nd to consider an appeal by Gary Bergeron & Diana Dwyer-Bergeron.

A public hearing took place on Monday January 12th and the Planning Board voted to submit the proposed zoning ordinance amendments to the Select Board for inclusion on the town warrant.

HART’S LOCATION MASTER PLAN UPDATE:
The Hart’s Location Planning Board, with technical assistance from the North Country Council, has recently completed an update to the Town’s Master Plan. The Final Draft of the Master Plan, derived from public input and the Draft Vision Element Feedback Survey conducted this fall is available to view here.
The next phase of the Master Plan, drafting of the Land Use Element, is currently in progress. The first draft should be ready in February.

Municipal Government
The town has its own municipal government, including a board of selectmen, planning board, school board, town clerk/tax collector, moderator treasurer, supervisors of the checklist, fire warden and deputy fire warden, zoning board of adjustment, etc. The town has a modest town hall and one town road, Burke Road. US Route 302, the primary corridor through the town, is a state maintained highway, all other roads within Hart’s Location are privately owned. There is no other municipal infrastructure. Some municipal services are outsourced to local communities, such as fire and rescue services from Bartlett, ambulance service from the Bartlett Jackson Ambulance Service and police services from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department.

Schools
Students are tuitioned to schools in neighboring towns by the school board, The Josiah Bartlett Elementary and Middle School for grades K-8, high school students have attended Kennett High School in Conway, NH and Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg Maine.
Post Office
Hart’s Location once had it’s own post office at the Willey House Station site, but now shares the 03812 zip code and post office in Bartlett Village, NH.
